Inspections

Only manufacturers and producers who meet all the requirements of the External Link EU Organic Farming Regulation and subject themselves to the mandatory inspections are entitled to label their goods with the Bio-Siegel. A tight network of continuous inspection measures guarantees the observance of the strict quality standards for organic products on all levels.

The competent inspection body can be determined and the ingredients can be traced back to where they came from through the inspection number on all organic foods. The inspection bodies themselves are also subject to regular inspections by the government - controlling the controllers, so to speak.

Organic foods that do not come from Germany or the EU but from so-called third countries must - if they are offered on the EU market - meet the requirements of the EU Organic Farming Regulation - and must be inspected accordingly.

The inspection authorities examine the complete production process of the eco organisations. All production and processing stages up to the final packaging are subject to inspections.
